My friends and I went here in late August. We had the most amazing experience. My best friend has been a vegan 25 years. His girlfriend is new to veganism and so we all decided to eat here the final night they were in town. We ate everything if you can't tell from the pictures. Loved the delicious line up of mocktails they had as two of us do not drink alcohol. Despite the fact that one of us was vegan, one was gluten free and two of us were n/a, we all left with happy, sober bellies full of delicious cuisine. Such a nice restaurant with glorious ambiance.

I am completely obsessed with PLANTA after two awesome visits to their Chicago location. The menu is completely plant based and features many gluten free options. During both visits I had the torched & pressed sushi and it was one of the most interesting and diabolically tasty things I've ever eaten. I also have tried the crispy rice, spicy tuna hand roll, and the one of their speciality rolls (that I don't remember the name of.) All of their menu items are beautiful, tasty, and have such complex flavor profiles. The restaurant itself is dark and earthy and has a really cute date night vibe. You may want to make a reservation though as it is usually quite busy. The service is always excellent and quick and they always feature a list of specials for the day. The menu can be on the pricier side of things but I feel it's worth it for the quality of the food you're getting. I can't wait to come back and sample more from this amazing menu!

I love all the variety of options at planta!! Their happy hour is amazing- they have endless options to choose from including drinks, food, and dessert! We recently went to check out their November specials and were blown away by the pumpkin cheesecake! It tasted exactly, if not better, than the real thing. The truffle miso ramen was very comforting and filling- recommend getting the addition of chicken katsu (had a great meaty bite to it)

I would give 3.5 for food and 4 overall due to experience/vibe. We got the firecracker roll which was amazing 10/10. With hot sauce on side. The Singapore noodles were very flavorful but tasted very Indian (tasted like something we would eat at home). The drinks were very good. My husband got herb your enthusiasm which he loved. I got the dragon power juice which was good. Finally the brownie sundae was amazing but overpriced

I was shocked by how much I loved everything here!! The fact that everything is vegan makes the experience so fun; everything feels so unique and surprising in the best way. I also love the space! Such a cool design. We came for lunch on a Thursday and it wasn't super busy. Started with the bang bang broccoli, tuna crispy rice, and spicy tuna roll; I loved all of these so much!!! The broccoli was probably my favorite part of the entire meal though. Must get this. For my entree I got the Singapore noodles which was a humongous portion and I had lots of leftovers which I very much enjoyed. Comes with so many veggies which I loved! The poke bowl also looked amazing, but I really want to come back and try more because there is nothing I wasn't impressed with here! Such a fun dining experience and a cool way to eat delicious plant based food!!! Love this concept and a new favorite restaurant of mine.

I went here for a quick bite as it was 3pm and I had to get to airport, and there were not many options that stood out that were open nearby. This place is interesting as it is a vegan restaurant, and as it was 3pm, there was no wait and I just opted to get seated at the bar. I got their bang bang broccoli as that seems to be the #1 dish here, and it was pretty delicious. It's hard to justify paying a base price of $15.75 for broccoli, but the execution is on point as the broccoli is fresh and the batter is nicely crispy. I really like the sweet chili and peanut sauce as it is not quite sweet and sour but the distinctive flavors make it quite addicting and reminiscent of the Chinese American fusion flavors.

Our first visit to this place was in October 2022, right when they opened. The place is pretty trendy. It starts quiet before the rush, then gets louder as more people come in, esp near the bar by the entrance, which can get super crowded. The food is savory & all vegan! It's not your typical Asian fusion. Some dishes are served in smaller servings, so it really depends on how hungry you are. We liked the service, but it was a bit slow, even though there weren't that many people there yet, maybe just a couple of tables. They bring out the dishes one at a time, so the pacing can feel a bit dragged out. Overall, though, it was a great experience!

Overall this is a cute, upscale place. I brought my family here for my husbands birthday dinner. The service was good but we had 5 people and they brought out one dish at a time which was hard to eat because we all had to pass around one dish, no be and then wait for the next. I wish multiple dishes came out at once. The food was good overall. It's nice to have a vegetarian place in the city. I think the flavors were unique and they had a good variety

My first vegan restaurant experience and i must say it was a good one! I had heard a lot of great things about this place so was excited to try. It did not disappoint in flavor. Everything we ordered was really tasty. My favorite was the firecracker wings made from cauliflower. Super crunchy and the sauce was delicious. The ambiance was really nice, vibrant colors and aesthetically pleasing. When it comes to the service it was alright. Not the best, not the worst. Just mehhhhhh Would come back and try more.
